The diagrams are based on the data provided by European Laser Tag Directory (ELTD; as per the end of 2009) with the adjustment concerning LaserMaxx sites according to the Manufacturer’s request not listed in the ELTD. The budgetary-technical class separation was done according to the own classification by TRUTNEE; for your quick reference (examples only): we consider Q-Zar system as a typical representative of the low-budget class, LaserBlast - as a medium-class and LaserForce as a - premium-class equipment.

29.07.2006: THE 50TH LASER TAG ARENA HAS BEEN OPENED IN EX-USSR
This summer the total quantity of Laser Tag arenas opened in CIS and Baltic countries became 50. Yet, 50 Laser Tag sites for such a big territory is still rather insufficient, when comparing to the year 2004 it is possible to say that the arenas' quantity is really rocketing here. As can be seen at diagram Different types of Laser Tag equipment (see Statistics section of our web page, below), Russian Ataka system became the most common Laser Tag type in the ex-USSR. Besides, this year three new DarkLight arenas and the first LaserTron site in Europe were opened here. So, we can see a certain progress in introducing of Laser Tag idea in many of the ex-Soviet countries. 17.07.2006: ARMAGEDDON-2006: AN ULTIMATE LASER TAG TOURNAMENT
8 teams of laser tag players from around the world participated in the 7th annual Armageddon Multi-System Laser Tag Tournament over July 4th weekend. The popular tournament was hosted in the Baltimore-Washington area, with stops in Northern Virginia.
The tournament is a unique laser tag experience. Each team plays every other team at each system in a giant round robin style tournament. Commercial arena systems LaserTron, Darklight, Laser Quest, Q-Zar, and Laser Storm were played. The goal of the event is to allow players to compete not just on their home system, but on many systems to find the best team...

08.07.2006: LASERTRON ARENA IS OPENED IN ST.-PETERSBURG
New laser tag arena was opened in St.-Petersburg (Russia) today. Equipped with LT-10 system, this site is the first one in Europe to use American LaserTron laser tag. The new arena is located in Warsaw Express (Game Zona) entertainment center, has 2 levels of maze and is designed for up to 40 players. Good beginning! Visit arena's web page »
01.07.2006: NEW LASER BLAST ARENA IS OPENED IN KIEV, UKRAINE
Recently they have opened a new laser tag arena in Kiev equipped with Laser Blast system. Installed in new FEC DyvoSvit, this Laser Blast site is the first one located in the ex-USSR. Besides MegaZone, it is the second laser tag arena in Kiev, as well. Besides laser tag site, they may open a unique attraction Dyno-Safari, that applies Laser Blast tecnologies to animatronic scale models of dinosaurs, in the nearest time. 20.05.2006: MEGAZONE SITE IS OPENED IN KRASNODAR, RUSSIA
We have been informed that they have opened a new Laser Tag arena in Krasnodar (Russia). The new site is equipped with 12-guns MegaZone system imported from the UK. This site is the second Laser Tag arena installed in Krasnodar (the first one uses Q-Zar equipment) and is the second ex-Soviet arena that uses Zone equipment (another one is located in Kiev, Ukraine and is one of the oldest Laser Tag sites here in the ex-USSR).
17.05.2006: RUSSIAN OUTDOOR LASER TAG MANUFACTURER IS PLANNING TO OPEN 4 NEW SITES
Russian company Adva Systems (manufacturer of oudoor Laser Tag equipment of Adva Combat Reality trade mark) announces their plans to open 4 new outdoor sites in Russia and Moldova. Three of the the new sites will be equipped with the Laser Tag systems based on Kalashnikov sub-machine gun imitations, one will be styled to be used by kids (the equipment will be designed in resemblance with the guns used in The 5th Element movie). Looks like outdoor Laser Tags are getting popular here in Russia, too...
22.04.2006: SPIDER MAN vs DOC OCK
Have a look at this pretty toy designed for kids who are too small to play standard Laser Tag - Spider Man vs Doc Ock by Kid Designs. Set for two includes 2 laser shooters, vests and wearable targets. Laser shooters may be attached to wrists and work like Spidey's web shooters, targets make noise when hit, laser shooters and targets operate within a 100' range... A good beginning for a kid! 15.04.2006: NEW Q-ZAR SITE IS OPENED IN MINSK, BELARUS
New Q-Zar arena was opened in Minsk recently. At present time, this arena is the only Laser Tag site on the territory of Belarus (the former Soviet Republic) - in the past, they used to have another Q-Zar in Minsk and LaserForce arena in Brest, but both arenas were closed some years ago. So, the new arena will be much appreciated by both new players and by those who used to go for Laser Tag in the past. Besides, the arena operator - East European Company (well-known as a distributor of Q-Zar and Laser Blast equipment) is planning to add to the maze some "special animatronic effects"... So far - so good, and our best wishes to the new arena's staff and players!
01.04.2006: NEW OUTDOOR LASERTAG SITE OPENS IN SEBASTOPOL, UKRAINE
It is just being announced that a new outdoor lasertag club - Alpha-Extreme - has been established in Sebastopol, Ukraine (Crimea). They use Ukrainian oudoor tag system named Action Ukraine Lasertag there. Quantity of players may be up to 8, the number of game modes - 7, number of different game ranges - 3. 20.03.2006: UK ARMAGEDDON
A discussion about the possibility to conduct a European variant of American multi-system tournament Armageddon has been started at LaserArena's Forum. At present time, the participating lasertag sites and systems, schedule, logistic and accommodation matters are discussed. So far, the UK Armageddon is planned for summer, 2006. 18.03.2006: VEQTOR RELEASES MAX 2006 VERSION?
At Veqtor's official webpage they have published some rather attractive shots depicting the new to-be-released-soon version of their equipment - VEQTOR MAX 2006. There is no technical specifications, the only thing is mentioned are the following features: - Radio based with rich with Digital Sound; - Up to seven teams loaded with features; - Futuristic styling in a choice of colors. 14.03.2006: LASER CLUB: UNIQUE LASERTAG SYSTEM MANUFACTURED IN RUSSIA
Let us present to our English visitors a detailed description of the new indoor lasertag system produced in Russian Federation - LaserClub. Formally inspired by LaserQuest, by now LaserClub system has undergone a great redesigning and developement: e.g., such unique features as VOP (Voice Operated Phasor), barcoding, programmable targets and headquarters (bases), etc. have been added. At present time we have information about at least 5 LaserClub sites being operated in Russia and Ukraine; the representatives of the Manufacturer also claim they have succesfully exported two systems to Czech Republic and Pakistan (though we cannot confirm this info right now). 06.02.2006: THIS YEAR EUROPEAN LASER QUEST CHAMPIONSHIPS WILL BE HELD IN THE NETHERLANDS
European Laser Quest Championships is the event where Europe's premier Laser Quest players fight it out to decide who is the best team in Europe. Currently that title is held by The Tribe Called Quest, of LQ Guildford, England, who were victorious the last time the event was held in May 2005.The 2006 event will be held on the weekend of the 6th and 7th May at LQ Eindhoven in the Netherlands. This 10- year old centre has an arena that will hold up to 25 players, along with a bar, pooltables and 20 network-computers on site! NEW UPGRADES WERE PRESENTED AT OUTDOOR LASER TAG FESTIVAL IN SARATOV, RUSSIA

August, 2010: - New system's upgrades were presented by Russian outdoor laser tag manufacturer Poligon64 during the outdoor laser tag Festival held in Saratov, Russia. Among the upgrades were interactive target, car laser tag set, programmable bomb, military diffusor, etc.

Also, a Tournament was held at the Festival with 11 regular teams from different cities of Russia and Ukraine participating in the event.

"RESIDENT EVIL"

May, 2010: - The biggest in Europe laser tag site is opened in Bradford, United Kingdom.

The new 1670 sq.m' laser tag arena is named LaserZone and is equipped with ZetaBlast (Laser Blast) laser tag system for 40 players. The arena's maze is themed after Resident Evil movie (see the Red Queen at the picture above) and has several levels.

Represented in Europe by just several sites, for a certain period of time the Australians actually did not pay much attention to our market, preferring the one of the USA. Now, a massive marketing in Europe is expected.
