Overview
Throughput = players per hour × average ticket. Poor zoning creates bottlenecks at briefing, staging and debrief — even with good equipment.
Step-by-step plan
- Briefing zone — 1 m² per player, AV for rules video.
- Staging / armory — parallel lanes for 6–8 kits each.
- Play field — min. 25–35 m² per active player for indoor; cover and sightlines matter.
- Debrief / party room — upsell cake, merch, second round.
- Mark one-way flow; separate walk-in from booked parties if possible.
Common mistakes
- Single narrow corridor for both entry and exit during games.
- Over-scenario complexity before staff can run basic team deathmatch.
- No storage for 20+ vests within arm reach of marshals.
