September 2026: X-GEN updates and competitive laser tag

On September 14, LASERWAR described a technical update to its tenth-generation equipment. Its release lists changes to online-network kit launch, command retries after temporary errors, Wi-Fi data loading, and Bluetooth operation. These are supplier claims; results on a particular site need separate testing.

Test the update without interrupting business

Before installation, save your current software versions, presets, and device list. Try a small set of taggers and field devices outside paid sessions. Then test a full-group start, game stop, a device reconnecting after a lost connection, and retrieval of statistics. Record before-and-after behavior so support can investigate specific problems.

Sport needs its own preparation

On September 18, LASERWAR reported on the Path of the Warrior final held September 7–12. It is an occasion to check readiness for competition: identical team settings, legible results, spare devices, clear rules, and a safe field. The tournament's existence does not prove that every commercial kit qualifies for official competition.

Before buying a sports fleet, request the current rules of the specific organizer and test against them. TRUTNEE comparisons can help frame questions for suppliers. Sources and update status checked October 2, 2026.
